Tattooing since 2019

Preferred style: geometric, abstract

sacred geometry and patternwork, large-scale coverage and sleeve projects take priority

how’d you get here?

I spent a good portion of my early adulthood working in the corporate realm - and then I stumbled into a tattoo shop that actually felt comfortable and welcoming instead of an intimidating perpetual money-grab operation. Unfortunately, this “vibe” deteriorated soon after so…

Meadows and I opened The Apothecary to provide the same safe space to our artists as we did for our clientele. Existing as a professional creative always felt like a pipe dream. Owning and operating a women-ran tattoo studio in a small East Texas town is no easy feat. But it’s a stress that I choose because the work we do here matters. When you’re making permanent changes to your body, your experience should include respect, honesty, compassion, and professionalism.

Optional offerings: sarcasm and snacks

  • Balance. My brain sees weight and symmetry and movement so my focus naturally falls toward sacred geometry and patternwork. I am fueled by nature and love to include it in my work but the illustrative style doesn’t fulfill me as it does others on our team. My favorite creations happen when I can work on a large plane of the body and bring impactful focal points to life by drawing directly onto the skin before tattooing it (vs. using a stencil)

  • Biggest?? My adhd can’t handle that question so here’s a condensed list:

    • hanging out with my family

    • playing around with paint projects

    • reading

    • cooking

    • decorating/rearranging my home & workspace (the team gives me hell about the latter)

  • Books, fantasy genre mostly - The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson remains at the top so far

    Audible

    High quality coffee & wine

    Pickled foods

    Tarot

Workouts that make my ass sore

    Herbs :)
